The HKSAR Education Bureau launched a STEAM teacher training program in 2022. In the program involved physical training and free access to STEAM classes teaching materials. Apart from the physical copies, teachers would also like download the materials online when they need it.
Bridgespace developed an online learning management system for the program. Each of the participating teachers would have access to the online portal. Participants can join discussions and review all the training materials any time they want. Teachers can now have all the STEAM teaching materials and guidance at the fingertip, and enable effective STEAM classes for K-12 students in Hong Kong.
Over 500 STEAM program coordinators from local primary and high schools joined the program and received valuable trainings on STEAM classroom planning and setup. The training program and the online platform received a high satisfaction score of over 4.5.
